high flight

2020,  museum für moderne kunst kärnten

The spatial installation has as its starting point Günther Domenig's colour pencil drawings, which he made in the context of his plans for the Steinhaus. The drawn hatchings and coloured lines become coloured paper surfaces stretched by bright threads between the floor and ceiling. Layer by layer, the drawings scroll and unfold into space. A three-dimen- sional mountain landscape emerges, with two high-flyers soaring above, recalling Günther Domenig's sculpture "NixNutzNix" at the Steinhaus.
